Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of services by Windsor Sports Therapy. By booking, attending, or otherwise making use of any services provided, you (“the Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not proceed with booking or treatment.

Services

Windsor Sports Therapy provides soft tissue and manual therapy services for the purpose of supporting musculoskeletal health, pain management and physical recovery. Services may include, but are not limited to, sports massage, assisted stretching, Muscle energy Techniques, Soft tissue release and joint mobilisations.

All services are provided on a non-medical basis and do not constitute medical diagnosis or treatment.

Practitioner

Windsor Sports Therapy is owned and operated by a sole practitioner. All treatments are delivered exclusively by Jamie, a fully qualified Level 5 and fully insured male massage therapist.

Appointments and booking

Appointments may be booked online, by telephone or in person and are subject to availability and confirmation. Windsor Sports Therapy reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking at its discretion.

Premises and accessibility

The treatment room is located in the garden office pod and may not be suitable for individuals with reduced mobility.

Clients are responsible for assessing whether the premises are suitable for their needs prior to booking. Where access is unsuitable, mobile appointments may be requested, subject to availability.

Parking

Parking is available on public streets only. The Client is solely responsible for complying with all parking restrictions, signage and local regulations, and for parking in a considerate manner appropriate to a residential area. Windsor Sports Therapy accepts no responsibility or liability for any parking fines, penalties or charges incurred.

Mobile appointments and home visits

For mobile treatments, the appointment duration includes travel time, equipment set-up and pack-down. The Client must ensure the location is accessible at the agreed time. Failure to provide access may result in the session being curtailed or cancelled without refund.

Client responsibilities

The Client warrants that all information provided regarding their medical history, injuries, medications and general health is accurate, complete and up to date. The Client agrees to notify the practitioner of any changes to their health status prior to or during treatment.

The Client agrees to follow all advice and instructions provided before, during and after treatment. The Client acknowledges that some techniques may cause temporary discomfort or post-treatment soreness.

Practitioner responsibilities

Each session will be preceded by a consultation to assess the Client’s needs and suitability for treatment. Services will be provided with reasonable care, skill and professionalism in accordance with industry standards.

Information relating to post-treatment reactions (“contra-actions”) and aftercare guidance is made available to Clients.

Confidentiality and data protection

All personal and medical information provided by the Client will be treated as confidential and processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. Information will not be disclosed to third parties without consent, unless required by law.

Contraindications

By proceeding with treatment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and acknowledged all listed contraindications. You further confirm that, to the best of your knowledge, none of the stated contraindications apply to you at the time of treatment.

If you are uncertain about any aspect of the contraindications, have an existing medical condition, or have any concerns regarding your suitability for treatment, it is your responsibility to inform the sports therapist prior to your appointment. This ensures that all treatments provided are safe, appropriate, and in your best interest. Please see here for contraindications.

Fees and payment

Payment is generally required in advance to secure an appointment, except where otherwise agreed. Accepted payment methods include card and bank transfer. With the Client’s consent, card details may be securely stored.

All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated within these Terms.

Cancellation and rescheduling

A minimum of forty-eight (48) hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged at the full session rate

  • Missed appointments are non-refundable

  • Charges will be applied to the card held on file

In exceptional circumstances, Windsor Sports Therapy may waive cancellation fees at its sole discretion.

Refunds

No refunds shall be issued for missed appointments or cancellations made within the 48-hour notice period.

Professional conduct

The Client agrees to behave in a respectful and appropriate manner at all times. Any abusive, threatening, sexual or otherwise inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of the session. Windsor Sports Therapy reserves the right to refuse future services without notice.

Limitation of liability

The Client acknowledges that soft tissue therapy involves inherent risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Windsor Sports Therapy and Jamie shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage or adverse reaction arising from treatment, except where such liability arises from proven negligence, gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded.

Acknowledgment of risks

While massage therapy is generally safe, it is important to recognize that there may be some inherent risks involved. These risks can include, but are not limited to, temporary soreness, discomfort, bruising, allergic reactions to oils or lotions used and, on rare occasions, exacerbation of pre-existing conditions.

It is important to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, injuries, or surgeries to me prior to the session, as certain techniques may not be suitable or may require modification.

It is crucial to communicate openly with me during the session regarding any discomfort or concerns that may arise.

Informed consent

By receiving sports massage therapy, you acknowledge that you have been informed about the nature, purpose, benefits, and potential risks of the treatment. You consent to proceed voluntarily, understanding that you may withdraw consent at any time.

Disclaimer

By booking an appointment, the Client confirms that they have read, understood and accepted the treatment disclaimer. The disclaimer forms an integral part of these Terms.

Amendments

Windsor Sports Therapy reserves the right to amend these terms at any time without prior notice. The version in force at the time of booking shall apply.

Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
